Englishman Luke Thompson is a still chance of remaining at Belmore into 2024 according to boss of football at the Bulldogs – Phil Gould.
The prop’s time at Canterbury has been riddled with injury but did turn out for the Dogs over the weekend in the NSW Cup.
“Luke played 32 minutes in NSW Cup last weekend,” Gould said in response to a fan on Twitter.
“That was only his second game appearance since May last year. Concussion and serious ankle injury has certainly restricted his game time. Hopefully he plays a few NRL matches before the end of this year.
“We will sit and discuss his future when the season is over.”
Thompson has been strongly linked to a move to the Dragons.
