“Probably are on notice”: Sharks legend Paul Gallen calls out Moylan and Talakai

Premiership-winning Cronulla legend Paul Gallen has called out his former team after the Sharks leaked 44 points in a poor loss to the Warriors in Auckland over the weekend.

Speaking on Channel Nine’s 100% Footy, Gallen called out Matt Moylan and Sifa Talakai and even coach Craig Fitzgibbon.

“The loss on the weekend was really hard to watch as a Sharks fan and former player,” he said.

“Their left-edge defensively has been pretty poor all year and I know Craig Fitzgibbon is a defensive-minded coach – he’ll be terribly disappointed.

“Matt Moylan and Sifa Talakai, that left-edge there, they’d be under the bump I’d imagine… they need to perform. Luckily for him, he does have options there guys like Connor Tracey and Trindall aren’t playing first grade – these guys probably are on notice.

“Whether he pulls the trigger and changes it, I’m not too sure.

“I would imagine he’d be terribly disappointed with where they are at the moment.”

The Sharks currently sit 6th with a Sunday afternoon game this weekend at home against the 11th placed Manly who are desperate for a win.
