Ye old #NRLTwitter can be a funny place and it was at its absolute best on Tuesday night as we all awaited the judiciary hearing of the century with Reece “Potty Mouth” Walsh fighting to not be suspended for what look liked direct abuse of referee Chris Butler.

In footage from Brisbane’s loss to the Titans on Sunday, footage appears to show Walsh swearing at Butler and dropping the c*** bomb.

Naughty.

In all seriousness, you just can’t do it.

Most agree it’s a shocking look and Walsh needs to grow up.

He’s now been suspended and rightfully so.

The hearing went forever.

Walsh’s team pulled out all the stops including interviewing Broncos captain Pat Carrigan and even Titan Andrew Fifita (who just so happens to be Walsh’s Maroons teammate).

Senior NRL.com journalist Brad Walter posted on Wednesday that “the Walsh hearing set a new record for the use of fā€¦ and cā€¦ – literally hundreds of times. It certainly exceeded the Willie Mason hearing in which he recounted his fight with England prop Stuart Fielden.”

Fifita buckled under examination.

At one point, two Broncos fans appeared from the darkness outside, banging on the glass doors asking for a verdict.

For five long hours, Twitter flowed rivers of gold.

Oh what a night.
