‘We’re not putting in’: Injured Wests Tigers star’s brutal assessment of teammates after horror start to season 2022

Injured Wests Tigers star Adam Douehi hasn’t missed in his assessment of his teammates after a horror start to season 2022 leaving the club 0-2 after the opening rounds.

Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald, Douehi admitted his team should have won both games against Melbourne and Newcastle respectively.

“To go to Newcastle on the weekend and dish that up, it wasn’t good enough,” Douehi said.

“The lack of effort [stood out for me]. It’s easy for me to say from the sideline and not being out there, but that look of boys not putting in, it’s not a good look to have.

“I know how hard they worked during the week, which is why it doesn’t make any sense.

“To go from putting in a good 40 minutes against Melbourne to dishing that up, it’s something we have to address quickly.”

Wests Tigers host the Warriors in their first home game of the season at Campbelltown on Friday night at 6pm.
