NRL players have failed to make the top 50 of Australia’s richest sports star list with The Daily Telegraph revealing Daly Cherry-Evans as the game’s top earner way down in number 76.

Unveiling 100-51 on Wednesday, Kangaroos, Maroons and Eagles star Cherry-Evans reportedly brings in $1.2 million a year alongside jockey Tommy Berry, Socceroo Mathew Leckie, former Australian cricket captain Tim Paine, MotoGP’s Jack Miller and Wallaby Samu Karevi.

Further back came Ben Hunt, Tom Trbojevic and James Tedesco on a reported $1.1 million while Titan David Fifita is apparently raking in $1.05 million on the Gold Coast.

Cameron Munster and Kalyn Ponga sit together in 91st and 92nd respectively on a cool $1 million.

Yet to fulfill his potential, Ash Taylor has left the Gold Coast for the Warriors on nothing close to his almost $1 million-a-year deal he was receiving at the Titans. He came in 98th due to his contract in 2021.

50-1 will be announced by The Daily Telegraph tomorrow.
