Former Australian and Blues star Greg Alexander has written of all but two players for the 2021 Dally M Medal despite the competition into just its seventh week.

Latrell Mitchell leads the Dally M count but Alexander believes the medal will either go to Penrith’s Nathan Cleary or Melbourne’s Ryan Papenhuyzen.

“Nathan Cleary would be my favourite,” Alexander said on SEN 1170.

“He’s got some competition though, Ryan Papenhuyzen has been outstanding for the Storm, so I think it’ll be a race between those two.”

Papenhuyzen currently leads the81stminute.com’s Beetson Raudonikis Medal.
