The St George Illawarra Dragons were set to release Cameron McInnes to the Cronulla Sharks early in a swap deal for 24-year-old utility forward Billy Magoulias.

That’s according to the Wide World of Sports’ ‘The Mole’ Tony Adams who reported via their website that the Dragons were prepared to let McInnes leave early after signing a long-term deal to head to the Sharks in 2022.

McInnes, of couse, then ruptured his ACL – ruling him out of the 2021 season.
