Premiership-winning hooker and former Brisbane Bronco Michael Ennis has ripped into star forward Tevita Pangai Junior saying the giant “doesn’t give a rat’s arse about the club” after Pangai was suspended for two weeks due to a COVID-19 breach.
It was reported that Pangai attended a tattoo shop opening after the Broncos loss to the Rabbitohs in Sydney. It comes just days after news broke that TPJ had contacted the Sydney Roosters about a switch.
“The fact that he went and shopped himself around then turned in a performance like they did on Friday night, it would have been alarm bells to have a quiet weekend,” Ennis said on Fox League.
“Get yourself home, get yourself ready for their big game against the Raiders.
“Instead, he’s broken the bubble, put enormous pressure and unnecessary spotlight again on a club that’s just been soaked in all of this drama for the last few months.”
