The Newcastle Knights have reportedly won the chase to Kalyn Ponga’s future with the star set to a sign a five-year extension to stay in the Hunter.

Ponga is on record as saying it’s a career goal to represent the All Blacks in rugby union but by The Sydney Morning Herald says Ponga isn’t leaving Newcastle any time soon.

The extension, according to SMH, would be worth around $1 million per season and lock him up until the end of 2025.
