Cronulla Sharks centre Bronson Xerri has been stood down by the NRL and is facing a four year ban from the game after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.

Xerri has been provisionally suspended after testing positive to exogenous Testosterone, Etiocholanolone, Androsterone and 5b-androstane-3a,17b-diol – all of which are banned by the World Anti-Doping Authority (WADA).

The rising outside back is awaiting his B sample and confirmation of his ban.
