Wests Tigers are closing in on finalising an agreement that would see Matt Moylan released by the Sharks to join the black, white and gold at Concord.
There have been whispers for some time that Cronulla would be happy to let him go to free up some space in their salary cap.
It would be interesting to see where Moylan would play if he headed to Wests Tigers but you’d think he would slot in to fullback and push Corey Thompson to the wing.
The former Australian and Blues star can easily play in the halves too but has plenty of competition from Luke Brooks, Benji Marshall, Josh Reynolds and Billy Walters.
Moylan has played 124 NRL games since debuting for Penrith back in 2013.
His switch also depends on the future of Melbourne flyer Josh Addo-Carr who is also considering a move to Sydney and been heavily linked to a return to Wests Tigers.
