Seibold drops Roberts and Isaako to reserves training as McCullough injures knee

Brisbane Broncos coach Anthony Seibold has dropped star backs James Roberts and Jamayne Isaako to reserves training after a shocking start to their 2019 campaign.

While Brisbane’s reserve outfit aren’t playing this weekend, it’s a clear sign Seibold is frustrated with his side’s lackluster start to the season.

Roberts, the incumbent NSW State of Origin centre, along with Kiwi International Isaako, were replaced on Monday morning at training by Kotoni Staggs and Gehamat Shibasaki.

And in more bad news for the club, it appears Broncos hooker Andrew McCullough has suffered a “severe” knee injury.

Channel 7’s Chris Garry tweeted: “BREAKING: Andrew McCullough carried off Broncos training with knee injury. In severe pain. Looks bad.”
