Just days after revealing he wanted to stay at Penrith, representative forward Trent Merrin has been released to join Leeds according to The Daily Telegraph.
The 29-year-old was reportedly happy to complete the final two years of his deal at the Panthers but has been released after a meeting with Panthers general manager Phil Gould.
It comes after Gould denied Merrin’s exit on Twitter a few days ago.
Leeds are set to announce the big signing shortly.
