Charlene Gubb – wife of Canberra Raiders prop Charlie – has fired up at Fox Sports presenter Yvonne Sampson for recent comments about her husband.
Mrs. Gubb took offense to Sampson’s remarks after a late tackle from Gubb on Nathan Cleary last weekend.
Gubb was suspended for a week after attacking the legs of Cleary in Canberra’s 23-22 loss.
Sampson returned serve on Thursday.

“Fans are gonna turn up to games to watch Nathan Clearys not Charlie Gubbs” @yvonnesampson
This comment is belittling to imply that non-superstars are insignificant to the NRL which is a working class game. It did not need to be added to the conversation. SMH!

Taken out of context. Fans want to see competitive, physical entertaining footy.
Not dangerous, cheap shots that result in suspensions. Understand you want to defend your husband but misquoting me won’t help @cHalapua @RaidersCanberra @NRL @FOXNRL https://t.co/Ml4sKjc0aM— Yvonne O’Keefe (@VonOKeefe) June 13, 2018
