BY CURTIS WOODWARD
Player movements in the National Rugby League never end and despite the season nearing, some clubs are still putting finishing touches to their 2018 roster.
But what if we actually had a trade window? You know, like most other sports?
Why aren’t we embracing the madness?
We’ve put together some fantasy trades that may help your club to the promise land this season.
Cowboys/Sea Eagles Trade
To Cowboys: Matthew Wright and $150,000
To Sea Eagles: Te Maire Martin
Cowboys look strong across their roster but their outside backs have plenty of runs in their legs. Wright would return to Townsville after a stint previously. Sea Eagles are desperate for a top line half to go with DCE and TMM fits the bill.
The @nthqldcowboys have faith in new recruit Te Maire Martin to fill the void left by Johnathan Thurston in the halves. @TomFowles9 #9News pic.twitter.com/NOUmOKgzSa

Broncos/Titans Trade
To Broncos: Brenko Lee
To Titans: Sam Tagataese and $50,000
Corey Oates is apparently going into the forwards – the Broncos look a little thin out wide. The Titans are building but lack a little bit of experience in the middle. And yes Brenko would be traded without playing a game for the Titans.

Knights/Storm Trade
To Knights: Young Tonumaipea
To Storm: Luke Yates
Melbourne don’t need much of anything but Yates could be a nice little pet project for Craig Bellamy. Winger Tonumaipea has been in the Storm system for a while and could help some of the rookie outside backs in Newcastle.
Sharks/Raiders Trade
To Sharks: Shannon Boyd, Makahesi Makatoa and $50,000
To Raiders: James Segeyaro
Raiders desperately need a big name replacement for the injured Josh Hodgson while the Sharks are light in the engine room.

Warriors/Roosters Trade
To Warriors: Reece Robinson and $60,000
To Roosters: Jazz Tevaga
Roosters have options in their playmaking positions but what if Jake Friend went down with a season-ending injury? Roosters would need more than rookie Victor Radley to get them through.
Wests Tigers/Dragons Trade
To Wests Tigers: Jacob Host
To Dragons: Esan Marsters
Two good young players filling gaps in their new club’s rosters. Wests seriously need depth in their back row.
Eels/Rabbitohs Trade
To Eels: Robbie Farah
To Rabbitohs: Josh Hoffman, Will Smith and $80,000
Eels have Cameron King and Kaysa Pritchard but Farah would complete a very strong spine.

Panthers/Bulldogs Trade
To Panthers: Zac Woolford and Nu Brown
To Bulldogs: Tyrone May and $70,000
Woolford to the Panthers gives some extra cover for the ageing Wallace while they also pick up Brown who reportedly hasn’t impressed Bulldogs coach Dean Pay in pre-season. Bulldogs get Tyrone May who gives the Dogs another option alongside Foran.
