Moylan gone but Panthers excited by new Cleary/Maloney era

The Penrith Panthers are happy for Matt Moylan but are more than content to have rising halfback Nathan Cleary running the show.

Forward Isaah Yeo was also excited to have premiership-winner James Maloney at the club.

“There was a lot of speculation on Moyza for a while and it’s good that it was settled before we came back to training,” Yeo told NRL.com.

“It would have been good if he stayed but he thought it was better for him to go. I wish him all the success and we can all move on. We’ve got Nathan controlling the show now.

“We’re excited about Jimmy coming on board. Everywhere he goes he seems to bring success. I think for Nathan he will take more pressure off. He’s experienced and played in some big games.”

The81stMinute exclusively revealed earlier in the year that Moylan’s drinking and attitude had become a problem for the Panthers.
