Penrith Panthers General Manager Phil Gould wants a second team in Brisbane. The legendary coach backed up his previous comments that the Gold Coast Titans should relocate to the Queensland capital.

”We should have had a second Brisbane team 20 years ago,’’ he said on the Six Tackles with Gus podcast.

”We can go through all the politics as to why there isn’t a second Brisbane team. We had one there for a while, the (South) Queensland Crushers, and there were all sorts of agendas to get rid of them and for the Broncos to retain their dominance in that area.

”I think our game in this era should be bigger than that. Queensland is the capital of the rugby league world at the moment.’’
