Is Jarryd Hayne already in the Blues Origin team for Game I?

Jarryd Hayne is set to star for New South Wales in State of Origin I after Coach Laurie Daley revealed he had called Hayne after starring in back-to-back wins for the Gold Coast Titans.

Speaking on Fox Sports’ NRL 360, Daley said the former Dally M Medalist was right in the mix.

“He played well [against Newcastle], yeah. There’s no denying he’s a class player,” Daley said.

“Some people are critical of the output he has in games, but one thing about Jarryd when he gets the ball in his hands, something happens.

“He can make it happen. He reminds me a little bit of GI (Greg Inglis) — they can be there, you might not see them, then all of a sudden they go bang and they win you the game.

“I spoke to him, yep. He’s more than in the mix.

“He’s got to keep playing well and stay injury free.”

Daley has some selection headaches including a number of positional decisions including where to play the former San Francisco 49er.
