Newcastle playmaker Jarrod Mullen’s career hangs in the balance after suffering another hamstring injury at training.
The former New South Wales half has had a horrendously-long battle with leg injuries which have kept him on the sidelines throughout his career.
This latest setback may prove to be the end.
“It was just a simple drill. I was just squaring up at the line and it just went on me,” Mullen said.
“The frustrating thing for me is that I have been training really well and looking forward to a big season next year.”
It’s another speed hump for embattled coach Nathan Brown whose team has won back-to-back wooden spoons.
