Greg Bird has signed a whopping $550,000 five-year deal to return to Catalans in France after the Gold Coast Titans granted him an immediate release.
Bird will play for three seasons in the Super League also acting as an assistant to their Under 19’s team.
Then Bird will go into an assistant role for the final two years of the contract for the Super League team.
“It was always going to happen, we have kept in contact with Greg and his manager Chris Orr every year and enquired about when Greg was going to return,” Catalans CEO Christophe Jouffret said.
It is now expected the Titans will use the freed up money for a shot at Melbourne’s Kiwi International, Kevin Proctor.
