He was only recently touted as representative forward but Tyrone Peachey has been a relevation for the Penrith Panthers in the centres and credits Josh Mansour and rookie halfback Nathan Cleary for making the transition easier than expected.

“I was a bit nervous at the start when Hook told me I’d be playing centre,” Peachey told foxsports.com.au.

“I think the first couple of weeks was a bit tough but I’ve just been trying to learn in order to better myself each week.

“It makes it a lot easier with Josh Mansour outside me and Nathan Cleary inside — he’s been a really good defender as well.”

Peachey also said he wanted to stay at the club when he contract expires at the end of 2017.

“I want to stay here at the club, it’s awesome here, the new facilities are awesome, but we’ll worry about that next year.”
