The rugby league world is shell shocked today and North Queensland’s finals campaign in tatters after reports surfaced a number of players had been caught throwing eggs at cars in Townsville on the eve of the playoffs.
The report suggests up to five players have fallen fowl of the police.
Brisbane and the clucky Gold Coast play on Fry day night with the Cowboys now scrambling to put this incident behind them with their match on Saturday night against Melbourne.
“Look this is eggcessive,” a sauce said close to the situation.
