Canberra coach Ricky Stuart could gift wrap Wests Tigers a finals spot after admitting to Triple M on Sunday he could rest players from Sunday’s match at Leichhardt Oval.
It would also mean the Gold Coast Titans – who need to beat North Queensland on Saturday night – would miss out on September footy.
“If I think it’s important to rest players for the bigger picture of the competition I will,” Stuart said.
“But that will come down to our high performance staff and the individual’s opinion as well.
“I have got a few blokes there that are a little bit busted and I certainly will use a week off to rest them if it’s needed.”
