One of the most respected players in the game has fired off at the NRL match review committee after Ryan James only received a week for his hit on Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco which left him with a broken jaw.
“You just want to see consistency,” Corey Parker told Sky Sports Radio’s Big Sports Breakfast.
“I got Tedesco myself in the Origin match. I hadn’t been charged in 15 years and got one week.
“Now he’s got a broken jaw and he (James) got one week.
“Decisions are made, based on what I was led to believe, the severity of the tackle.
“And he’s broken his jaw, regardless of how it has happened.
“He’s hit him with a closed fist, swinging arm that has has since broken his jaw.”
