Antonio Winterstein says the North Queensland Cowboys aren’t sweating if inspirational leader Johnathan Thurston doesn’t make it to Leichhardt Oval on Sunday for a showdown with Wests Tigers.
Thurston is racing the clock to be ready as he fights a hamstring injury.
“He has done his own workouts off the field and he still has a lot of training to do to get the okay to play,” Winterstein said.
“He still has a lot of things to tick off and he’ll put his best foot forward to put on the boots but if he has to give it one more week then I have full confidence in the boys to do the job.”
