He may not be a household name just yet but young North Queensland prop Coen Hess could prove vital as the Cowboys look to secure back-to-back premierships.
Hess was a standout from the bench last Thursday against Canterbury and will almost certainly line up against Gold Coast in Matt Scott’s absence (injury).
“There are a lot of high calibre players in our group and even at training I get to learn off them and they’ll give me little tips,” he said.
“It’s any young players dream to be in this squad so I’m just trying to reap the benefits and improve my game as much as I can.”
“I’ll be playing the best football that I can and hopefully I can make a good impression on Greeny and some of the boys to get that bit of trust in me as a player.”
