Former Cronulla captain Brett Kimmorley says the Sharks have the best roster in the NRL.

Writing for espn.com.au, the premiership-wining half believes the next two years could be the most exciting in Sharks history.

“They’ve got plenty of depth and a lot of confidence at the moment. They’ve had a great run with injuries this season, and touch wood they don’t suffer any, but if they do, they have the capability to slot someone in and not miss a beat to do the required job” he wrote.

“It’s a significant accomplishment for the club and I believe they have the best roster in the competition. They’ve really managed the salary cap well, and the next 18-24 months are really important they are to sustain a long run with this roster of players.”
