New South Wales have shocked Queensland and most good pundits who believed Jack Bird would start ahead of Matt Moylan tonight at ANZ Stadium.
Instead, Laurie Daley has gone with Moylan, who has played less than half a game of football in the halves in his short career.
“I don’t think it really matters who might play there, but I think the other guy might start,” assistant Matt Parish said.
“He’s a good young player, Jack Bird, and we just think he covers a few more positions whether it’s everywhere in the backline and possibly the back row.
“Whereas Moyza is predominantly a fullback who can play in the halves.”
