Veteran Parramatta forward Beau Scott says players don’t openly discuss their salaries and it’s up to the player manager and the club to nut out contract offers – not the players.
Scott was adamant that personal income wasn’t a topic of conversation at training.
“You wouldn’t have a clue,” Scott said.
“It is like me asking you what you earn for a living.
“You don’t go around discussing things with your workmates and that is the way it is.”
Scott added that the responsibility of third party deals rests with the player manager.
“Obviously, if your manager has a few suspicions, I think it is their responsibility to look into it further.”
