My 50 favourite players: 40-31

Everyone has their favourite players. They may not be the biggest, strongest or most skillful – your favourites don’t necessarily have to be the superstars of the game either. As you’ll see, some of mine aren’t even playing NRL at the moment.

I get to name my top 50 and we continue with 40-31!

40 Manu Ma’u

How scary is this guy? Loves his footy and plays each match like it’s his last.

39 Greg Eastwood

Dead set looks like he should be playing bush footy somewhere. How good is it!

38 Michael Jennings

Apart from the fact he’s an amazing athlete, Jennings is a real footballer with a lethal ability to find space.

37 Michael Ennis

If nothing else, Michael Ennis certainly can make the dullest moment must-watch. An industrious hooker, Ennis also polarises opinion with his niggling tactics. Personally I think he’s a genius.

36 Corey Oates

Where the hell did this guy come from? Apparently he’s a second rower. Not a bad winger either.

35 Michael Morgan

One of the most entertaining ball running playmakers in the NRL.

34 Josh Reynolds

Does some great things on the footy field but can be prone to a brain explosion or seven. Either way, you can’t deny it’s entertaining.

33 David Klemmer

Loves a confrontation and loves ripping in for his team. Runs hard, hits harder and snarls like a pissed off dragon!

32 Sam Moa

The unsung hero of the Sydney Roosters pack. Cut his teeth in the Super League before returning to the NRL and quickly became one of the premier props in the competition.

31 Beau Scott

A lunatic who defends like a demon. Enough said.
