St George Illawarra big man Russell Packer is happy to put the team first even if it means coming off the bench for the Dragons.
Packer started from the pine last weekend with the Saints notching up a victory against the Gold Coast Titans.
The Kiwi will be a thorn in the Sydney Roosters’ side this Anzac Day at Allianz Stadium.
“Going forward I don’t know what the plan is but I’m happy to do whatever Mary (Paul McGregor) wants and happy to just keep winning,” Packer said.
“The boys started so well and I was just happy to get on and try and continue that momentum which is the challenge when you come off the bench.
“I think everyone on the bench contributed well and made a good impact. Will [Matthews] had to fill in out in the centres and Siliva [Havili] and Dunamis [Lui] were good as well. I’m happy to do whatever it takes if I’m contributing to a win.”
