The Brisbane Broncos may have won 26-0 but coach Wayne Bennett isn’t happy with his team’s performance against St George Illawarra on Thursday night.

“I didn’t like the way we played tonight. It was a disjointed game,” Bennett said.

“It was a better second half, but we didn’t really put it together in the first half. It was well into the game before we put them away and that was the most frustrating part for me.

“We kept them in the game, but to their credit we didn’t let them back in. We lost a game to Penrith three weeks ago because we couldn’t close the game out and that didn’t happen tonight.

“The completions were high and it needed to be like that. We would have been beaten tonight if they weren’t like that.
