Parramatta enforcer Beau Scott is ready for another running battle with North Queensland’s superstar halfback Johnathan Thurston.
Scott has marked the Cowboys skipper for years at both NRL and State of Origin level and their clash will go a long way to deciding the blockbuster between North Queensland and the Eels.
“We’re going to have to play some really good football up there,” Scott told Fox Sports.
“They’ve put a lot of points over some teams up there recently, so I think our completion rate’s going to be a key for us.
“It’ll be business as usual (defending Thurston). We’ve got to limit his opportunities to have an influence on the game.
“That’s just my job, I do it every week against halves and key playmakers on every team. He’s their go-to man and the less influence he has on the result, the better for us.”
