The forgotten man in the ASADA saga, Sandor Earl, has broken his silence on The Locker Room podcast.
Earl revealed that he refused to hand over other players despite staring a full-length ban in the face.
“ASADA were asking me specifically about players names,” Earl said.
“They were asking me to tell things I’d heard about. I was never gonna do it as much of a burden as it was.”
Earl hasn’t played in the NRL since 2013 due to a four-year ban but said the punishment didn’t fit the crime.
“A friend messaged me saying ‘such & such wants this’.
“I’d say ‘ah yeah, yeah my mate can get that – this is as far as it goes.’
“Me saying ‘yeah my mate can get that’.
“There was no handling of anything. I didn’t make any money off anything. I had nothing more to do with it.”
