Sacked Penrith Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has emphatically ruled out a switch back to the New Zealand Warriors telling The Daily Telegraph he hasn’t even spoken to the club.
That should be known,”‘ Cleary said.
“Also too, for Jim Doyle (Warriors CEO).
“I don’t want question marks over him, he’s trying to back the coach (Andrew McFadden) and as far as I know he is.
“There’s been no discussions with them or anyone else.
“I was committed to the Panthers.”
Meanwhile former Warrior Ali Lauitiiti says he would accept an invitation from the club if they needed him.
“If the Warriors need any players, I’ll be willing to put my hand up – we’ll see how it goes,”
“At the moment I am a free agent. Let’s see if there are some teams out there that will want an old fella.
“I’m still keen to keep going.”
The 36-year-old was once labeled the future Michael Jordan of rugby league.
