Penrith halfback Peter Wallace has pumped some hope back into all Panthers fans’ seasons with the news that a number of their stars were on the brink of a return.
“Jamie’s [Soward] going good actually,” Wallace told AAP.
“He trained [on Wednesday], and trained pretty well. It might be pushing it for next week. Definitely Manly’s a good goal for him.
“But I’ll say he’s a slight chance [for Brisbane].
“[James Segeyaro is] going good. Hopefully he’ll be right for Brisbane. He just had to give his elbow a bit of a rest. He tore a ligament in there and it just wasn’t worth playing a week later. The bye came at a good time for him.
“And ET’s [Elijah Taylor] a bit the same. He stirred up his knee a bit. Hopefully a week off will have him right for the next game as well.”
