The fallout of yesterday’s dispisacble behaviour of a number of Canterbury fans continues.
South Sydney won 18-17 after a controversial refereeing decision.
Then all hell broke loose.
The81stminute.com spoke to an NRL club official this afternoon on the proviso of anonymity.
“There is a definite feeling amongst fans and other Sydney clubs that you run the gauntlet by going to Bulldogs games,” the official said.
“It’s been around for years and everyone says it behind closed doors but don’t say it in public.
“If you’re on the train after a Bulldogs loss and you’re wearing the opponent’s merchandise, good luck. The abuse and physical intimidation happens all the time.
“It’s not a racial thing, I’m not racist, but most of these idiots are 15-25 males and you know what I’m talking about.
“It’s a different world out there.”
