NRL CEO Dave Smith was a guest on The Hot Breakfast this morning on Melbourne’s Triple M.

The league boss revealed that over 50,000 tickets had already been sold for the June 17th clash with the NRL expecting a 90,000+ crowd for the fixture.

“I’d say it’s the greatest sporting rivalry in the country,” Smith said.

“We’re lucky enough to have this big brand called Origin.

“We’re bringing it fittingly down to the ‘G, hopefully it’s going to be the biggest crowd we’ve ever had for Origin.”
