The NRL Integrity Unit’s powers will surge into a whole new stratosphere that will finally give the unit some legitimacy.

They will now have the power to confiscate laptops and mobile phones of players and officials if rules are broken.

New powers include the right to confiscate computer data, “full and free” access to the club at all times and a crackdown on social media infringements.
