We all know there are no guarantees in life. Well maybe apart from death and taxes. Yep the world continues to spin. But there is only one rather large black, white and gold problem.

Like sand through the hourglass these are the days of Robbie Farah.

In one corner fighting in the black with gold trim, a legend of the Western Suburbs Magpiesss, he is the current coach of the Tigers, Jasssson Taylor [insert baffling boos].

And in the other corner, fighting in the black with gold trim, the undisputed ruler of the Wests Tigggerrrrs, Robbie Farahhh!

Mr. Farah, or the tail as we like to call it, is wagging Mr. Taylor, the supposed big dog of a new Tigers era.

We all know what the club has done to try and move Farah on. The club is allowed to shop him around if they’re prepared to pay a hefty sum and yes Farah is allowed to stand his ground and “dig his heels in”.

But the longer this thing goes on the clearer it is that this is obviously a struggle for power.

It became a political popularity contest as soon as Farah went on The NRL Footy Show. Some of the comments from Tigers fans on social media that night were cringe worthy.

“How can they do this to our Robbie?” one said, “OMG I actually just shed a tear”. It went on and on.

Farah and his manager Sam Ayoub nudged a little more.

Taylor didn’t budge.

Now Ayoub has nudged again, this time on a Fox Sports podcast.

“I’ve got everything pretty much documented,” Ayoub said.

“What was said and when and who said what and there’ll be a sequence of events that is going to come out later that will embarrass plenty of people.”

He went on.

“It’s also a little bit insane to think you could find a position in late July for a player of Robbie’s calibre who is on the amount of money Robbie is,” Ayoub continued.

“I don’t know where in their right mind they thought that was going to be something that was going to be easily achieved.”

For those that don’t know, Ayoub knew for weeks and weeks before the news of Farah’s imminent departure leaked.

At the end of the day, the coach has made a call and just like Wally Lewis, Matthew Johns and Luke Lewis before him, Farah needs to suck it up and get out of there.

There is no way Ayoub would have made these comments without Farah’s blessing which means he really doesn’t have the club’s best interest at heart.

Enter Tim Brasher.

One of the great Balmain Tigers of all time.

“The Tigers can’t keep sacking coaches for the sake of Robbie Farah,” Brasher told Fox Sports News.

“I’ve got a bit of an idea of what’s happening in there but he just doesn’t seem to be the selfless leader that the young Tigers need.”

Brasher also questioned the club’s process.

“I think the way they came out with it at the beginning was pretty embarrassing anyway. But who knows, there’s two sides to every story.

“And I think they need to move on.

“They need to move on and what happens with Robbie, or if he goes to another club, whether he stays there and just takes his money, the club needs closure, they need to get on with it, they need the coach to be solid and all the players to back the coach and get on with it.

“Basically the coach is your boss. You’re out there to do a job. Do it.”

Farah is digging his heels in but if he thinks he’s going to win a publicity war with Ayoub by his side, Farah is sorely mistaken.

Tigers fans and footy fans in general have had enough of hearing about the Wests Tigers.

Slinging Ayoub in to do the dirty work is as obvious as a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Fans of the Wests Tigers need their club to get on with it.

The question is can they do it with all these odd looking sheep lurking about?
