Fijian government enters the race to become NRL expansion club

The Fijian government has reportedly entered the race for an NRL expansion license.

According to Triple M’s Brent Read, the government would offer tax breaks to potential sponsors.

Several regions are currently in line to become the game’s 18th club including Perth, Papua New Guinea and South Island New Zealand.

The Fijians are reportedly targeting to be the 19th or 20th license in the game.
