South Sydney prop Tom Burgess has hosed down speculation his brother Sam would be making a return to the game after Sam himself refused to rule out a comeback recently.

Speaking at training on Tuesday, Tom was a little realistic when speaking about his sibling and fellow premiership-winner.

“No I don’t think so… he’s obviously been thinking about it but it’s two different stories thinking about it and it probably actually happening,” Tom said.

“He was medically retired for a reason there… his shoulder’s not that good.

“Obviously I think he’d love to do it but it might be a different story actually doing it.”
