Sonny Bill Williams is set to become the richest player in either rugby code after reportedly agreeing to join new Super League club Toronto on a two-year deal.

SBW most recently played for the All Blacks at the Rugby Union World Cup but has played many seasons of rugby league, famously debuting for Canterbury back in 2004 before going on to win a premiership at the Sydney Roosters in 2013.

The 34-year-old has also won two world cups for the All Blacks.

The deal is reportedly worth $10 million.

Toronto recently qualified for the Super League which boasts powerhouse rugby league clubs like Wigan and St Helens.
