Wigan coach and Sydney Roosters great Adrian Lam says the “brilliant” Tricolours will be a difficult task for his English champion outfit ahead of the World Club Challenge.

“They are brilliant. They’ve got a great coach, they’ve got some great leaders in the team and a game plan that changes every week. It’ll be a tough game,” Lam told the Warriors website.

As always, a vocal Wigan crowd is expected.

“I’m excited about them filling the stadium and showing the world that Super League is alive and that Rugby League is still a massive sport here. I think they can show that by turning out, supporting the game and supporting Wigan.”

The Roosters and Wigan have met once previously with the Australian club winning 36-4 in 2014 at the Sydney Football Stadium.
