Next Wallabies head coach Les Kiss has labelled Nathan Cleary a “legend” and would welcome to the 15-man game if he was to make the unlikely jump from the NRL.
Cleary has been tipped for a move to Europe to be closer to superstar partner Mary Fowler in the near future.
“I think if he was available e would be a person that would adapt very quickly,” Kiss told SENQ Radio.
“He would be an asset to the game for sure.
“Speaking with [current Wallabies coach] Joe [Schmidt] the other day, of course, they’re of interest but that’s not going to happen at this stage.
“We know we have enough good players to roll into the World Cup and we will back our talent.
“But Nathan Cleary… what a legend.”
