Parramatta are still the favourites to re-sign star playmaker Dylan Brown to a new deal despite it being less than the $1million-per-year proposition being thrown up by several clubs desperate for his services.
According to News Corp, St George Illawarra Dragons, Newcastle Knights and the Warriors are all mulling an option to offer the Kiwi International a possible ten-year contract similar to what North Queensland signed Jason Taumalolo signed several seasons ago.
The81stMinute.com, however, Brown is favouring to stay put in Sydney’s West on less than $1million per season.
Brown’s current deal allegedly has several “get out” clauses in his favour if something was to go wrong at the Eels or under new head coach Jason Ryles.
The Eels and Brown started the NRL pre-season all guns blazing with an impressive win over the Knights.
