New Parramatta Eels coach Jason Ryles has named Clint Gutherson’s successor as skipper after the club great was squeezed out and has since been made captain by his new side St George Illawarra.
Parramatta’s star halfback Mitchell Moses will lead the side in 2025.
With Gutherson’s exit and halves partner Dylan Brown on the sidelines for the majority of the season – much of the Eels success will be left to Moses.
“I am incredibly proud and honoured to be named captain,” Moses said.
“This club means so much to me, and it’s a privilege to lead this group of players.
“I have great support around me from the leadership group and coaching staff, and I can’t wait to start the season with them in a few weeks.”
