Melbourne Storm legend and future Immortal Cameron Smith can smell an upset this weekend and believes it could come from the travelling Sydney Roosters.
The Bondi club will start as heavy underdogs against Smith’s former side, but the former Melbourne skipper believes all the pressure is on the Storm.
“They won’t take any fear into Melbourne,” Smith said on SENQ.
“There is little expectation on them winning this game so it takes a whole heap of pressure off their shoulders.
“There is only pressure on two teams this weekend and that’s Penrith and Melbourne.
“If the Roosters can start well and jag some early points… that puts a whole heap of pressure on Melbourne to respond and get themselves back in the game.”
The Storm clash with the Roosters this Friday night at AAMI Park.
