St George Illawarra Dragons playmaker Kyle Flanagan has been suspended for four games by the NRL and have found him guilty of biting Canterbury skipper Stephen Crichton.

Flanagan will now miss the remainder of the regular season in a decision that took over 90 minutes at NRL HQ and split the rugby league community.

“The club is disappointed with the outcome and we believe we presented a strong case,” Dragons CEO Ryan Webb said.

“We know that Kyle, being the person that he is, will do everything he can to help support the club and his teammates through the next four weeks as we strive for a top-eight finish.”
