Queensland and Brisbane star Reece Walsh has confirmed he has made up with opposite Joseph Suaalii who knocked Walsh out in a shocking tackle during Game I of State of Origin at Homebush.

Suaalii was subsequently sent off and suspended for four weeks and Walsh missed Game II.

Footage of Walsh and Suaalii’s chat post-Game III was aired on social media.

“He’s a class player and a class human being,” Walsh told Fox League after the Broncos victory on the weekend.

“He just came in to see how I was doing and wished me all the best for the rest of the year.

“As I did to him.

“He is an awesome bloke. It’s footy. You want to go out and do your state proud and do yourself and your family proud.

“Things happen.”
